How to search for an account

Account Search is the starting point for most account work — it's where you find a customer's account to open it, take a payment, or check its status. You can search on any combination of fields, filter by account status, start a new account, or export the results. Leave a field blank to ignore it.

  1. Enter an Account number to find one account directly. A partial number returns every account that contains it — searching 56, for example, returns 5699, 5698, 5694, and so on.
  2. Use Name, Address, City, or SMS to find an account when you don't have the number. Each field you fill narrows the results further.
  3. Enter a Meter serial number to find the account a meter is assigned to.
  4. Use the Status dropdown to filter by account state — for example, Active. Change it to widen or narrow which accounts appear.
  5. Click Reset to clear every field and start over.
  6. Click Create Account to start a new account.
  7. Click Download CSV to export the current results, exactly as filtered, to a CSV file.

In the results, click the account number to open that account, or the cart icon to the left of it to go straight to a payment or vend for that customer. Results respect the Status filter, so an account you can't find may simply be in a different status than the one selected.
